Movie Dialogue Sample
I thought there might be some
unpleasantness at the office, and...
469
00:31:46,321 --> 00:31:48,859
I thought it'd be better to talk here.
470
00:31:48,990 --> 00:31:52,199
I thought it wouldn't
look good for Stanford's.
471
00:31:52,828 --> 00:31:54,035
Ah.
472
00:31:54,579 --> 00:31:56,411
All right, all right.
473
00:31:56,498 --> 00:31:58,285
I suppose you meant well.
474
00:31:58,375 --> 00:32:01,083
But next time, confide in me, Brian.
475
00:32:01,169 --> 00:32:02,285
I'm your father.
476
00:32:02,379 --> 00:32:04,462
Remember that, old lad!
477
00:32:06,341 --> 00:32:09,675
Exactly what did you hope
to get from us, Mr Graham?
478
00:32:09,761 --> 00:32:10,761
Help.
479
00:32:11,847 --> 00:32:13,588
Why did you think we could help?
480
00:32:15,225 --> 00:32:18,138
I just came to find out if you could.
481
00:32:18,228 --> 00:32:21,312
I don't think you understand what
we've been through, Mr Graham.
482
00:32:21,398 --> 00:32:23,310
I think we're entitled
to be left alone.
483
00:32:23,400 --> 00:32:25,357
I'd follow up anything, Mr Stanford.
484
00:32:25,444 --> 00:32:27,185
Anything that offers
the slightest hope.
485
00:32:29,906 --> 00:32:32,068
Then you still think there's a hope.
486
00:32:33,326 --> 00:32:34,487
Yes.
487
00:32:37,414 --> 00:32:38,530
Yes, I do.
488
00:32:39,458 --> 00:32:41,450
Then you know something.
489
00:32:41,626 --> 00:32:43,709
No, but I hope to soon.
490
00:32:48,258 --> 00:32:50,545
We befriended your son.
491
00:32:50,635 --> 00:32:53,378
We treated him as if
he were one of our own.
492
00:32:53,472 --> 00:32:55,634
To bring that poor girl in here...
493
00:32:57,017 --> 00:32:58,883
and murder her...
494
00:33:01,104 --> 00:33:03,812
I'm asking you to leave, Mr Graham!
495
00:33:04,107 --> 00:33:06,975
It's important for me
to have access to this flat.
496
00:33:07,736 --> 00:33:10,604
There must be something here
that will lead me to the truth.
497
00:33:10,697 --> 00:33:12,233
Mr Graham?
498
00:33:12,324 --> 00:33:14,941
I don't understand why you had to...
499
00:33:15,035 --> 00:33:16,947
We want to do everything
we can to help you.
500
00:33:17,037 --> 00:33:19,154
STANFORD:
Honor...
501
00:33:19,789 --> 00:33:22,497
- You're to do nothing more.
- We're so distressed.
502
00:33:22,584 --> 00:33:24,621
I want no member of this family
503
00:33:24,711 --> 00:33:27,954
to have anything even remotely
to do with this case.
504
00:33:28,048 --> 00:33:29,334
I want it forgotten!
505
00:33:29,424 --> 00:33:30,756
Finished!
506
00:33:31,259 --> 00:33:33,626
Your son and mine
were just friends at the university.
507
00:33:34,012 --> 00:33:36,345
You can't expect us to do
anything more than we've done!
508
00:33:36,431 --> 00:33:39,048
(PHONE RINGING)
509
00:33:43,855 --> 00:33:46,598
Hello? Yes, Stanford speaking.
510
00:33:47,817 --> 00:33:50,901
No, no tests without me,
do you understand?
511
00:33:51,154 --> 00:33:53,567
Well, tell them all
to wait till I get there.
512
00:33:54,366 --> 00:33:57,655
No, she's not to be touched
until I've ripped her apart myself.
513
00:33:58,328 --> 00:33:59,444
All right.
514
00:34:00,247 --> 00:34:02,284
Miss Vickie Harker called to see you.
515
00:34:09,005 --> 00:34:11,213
It was something to do
with the office.
516
00:34:12,342 --> 00:34:14,425
How dare you intrude in this way?
517
00:34:14,511 --> 00:34:16,719
Mr Graham, what can I do to help you?
518
00:34:16,846 --> 00:34:19,509
Why are you doing this to me?
519
00:34:20,934 --> 00:34:23,551
Can't you understand
what I'm going through?
520
00:34:31,736 --> 00:34:33,318
I'm sorry.
521
00:34:33,822 --> 00:34:36,405
This thing has affected me
more than I thought.
522
00:34:38,952 --> 00:34:41,660
Brian!
I'm going out for a walk.
523
00:34:41,746 --> 00:34:43,328
Would you like to come?
524
00:34:43,707 --> 00:34:46,245
BRIAN:
I can't, Dad. I can't leave the flat.
525
00:34:47,669 --> 00:34:49,535
I... I mean, I'd rather not.
526
00:34:58,638 --> 00:35:00,971
What does Vickie Harker
mean to this family?
527
00:35:10,025 --> 00:35:11,482
Mr Graham?
528
00:35:12,319 --> 00:35:14,276
If you want to see Miss Harker,
529
00:35:14,362 --> 00:35:16,103
Henry can drive you there.
530
00:35:18,491 --> 00:35:20,278
(MULTIPLE CLOCKS TICKING)
531
00:35:20,368 --> 00:35:23,611
- Nothing very luxurious, Mr, um...
- Gage.
532
00:35:23,705 --> 00:35:27,119
Gage. Still, it's a cosy
little corner, as you might see.
533
00:35:27,208 --> 00:35:30,872
Excuse my hair being so untidy,
but I never expected anybody, you see.
534
00:35:30,962 --> 00:35:33,670
- Here you are.
- Oh, thank you.
535
00:35:36,009 --> 00:35:37,341
Look at this.
536
00:35:38,637 --> 00:35:41,596
Recently acquired because of
my daughter's latest promotion.
537
00:35:42,098 --> 00:35:45,011
It was
