In year 1250 B.C. during the late Bronze age, two emerging nations begin to clash. Paris, the Trojan prince, convinces Helen, Queen of Sparta, to leave her husband Menelaus, and sail with him back to Troy. After Menelaus finds out that his wife was taken by the Trojans, he asks his brother Agamemnon to help him get her back. Agamemnon sees this as an opportunity for power. They set off with 1,000 ships holding 50,000 Greeks to Troy.

476
00:50:48,963 --> 00:50:50,463
Look at these men.
477
00:50:50,631 --> 00:50:54,926
They are the fiercest soldiers in all
of Greece. Each of them has bled for me.
478
00:50:55,094 --> 00:50:57,095
- Guard the ship.
- But this is a war.
479
00:50:57,263 --> 00:51:01,558
Cousin, I can't fight the Trojans if I'm
concerned for you. Guard the ship.
480
00:51:22,788 --> 00:51:24,497
Trojans!
481
00:51:27,334 --> 00:51:30,253
All my life, I've lived by a code.
482
00:51:30,755 --> 00:51:32,797
And the code is simple:
483
00:51:32,965 --> 00:51:36,468
Honor the gods, love your woman...
484
00:51:36,635 --> 00:51:37,886
...and defend your country.
485
00:51:40,347 --> 00:51:42,265
Troy is mother to us all.
486
00:51:42,892 --> 00:51:44,142
Fight for her!
487
00:52:03,662 --> 00:52:04,704
Myrmidons...
488
00:52:06,415 --> 00:52:08,166
...my brothers of the sword.
489
00:52:09,585 --> 00:52:13,004
I'd rather fight beside you
than any army of thousands.
490
00:52:13,172 --> 00:52:16,549
Let no man forget how menacing we are.
We are lions!
491
00:52:20,429 --> 00:52:25,225
Do you know what's there, waiting,
beyond that beach?
492
00:52:25,392 --> 00:52:28,561
Immortality! Take it! It's yours!
493
00:52:41,575 --> 00:52:43,034
Fight positions!
494
00:52:43,202 --> 00:52:45,078
Archers!
495
00:52:45,996 --> 00:52:47,747
Archers, draw!
496
00:52:49,667 --> 00:52:51,084
Draw!
497
00:53:07,685 --> 00:53:09,394
Keep forward!
498
00:53:28,747 --> 00:53:30,331
Form up!
499
00:53:30,833 --> 00:53:32,375
Formation!
500
00:53:33,085 --> 00:53:35,211
The man wants to die.
501
00:53:55,649 --> 00:53:57,108
On my command!
502
00:54:04,950 --> 00:54:06,784
Break off! Break off!
503
00:54:31,518 --> 00:54:34,604
Achilles! Achilles! Achilles!
504
00:54:34,772 --> 00:54:36,481
Achilles! Achilles!
505
00:54:36,649 --> 00:54:42,195
Achilles! Achilles! Achilles!
506
00:54:42,363 --> 00:54:45,490
Give him the battle,
we'll take the war.
507
00:54:45,658 --> 00:54:49,827
Give him too many battles
and the men will forget who's king.
508
00:55:03,509 --> 00:55:06,427
Ajax, you need to see this.
509
00:55:08,263 --> 00:55:09,722
Look at him...
510
00:55:09,890 --> 00:55:12,600
...hogging all the glory.
511
00:55:13,727 --> 00:55:16,771
Row, you lazy whores, row!
512
00:55:17,022 --> 00:55:19,857
Greeks are dying! Row!
513
00:55:48,887 --> 00:55:52,098
Those men down there need help. Now!
Tecton, with me.
514
00:56:04,778 --> 00:56:08,114
I am Ajax, breaker of stones!
515
00:56:08,282 --> 00:56:11,159
Look upon me and despair!
516
00:56:11,744 --> 00:56:14,245
Flank! To the flank!
517
00:57:05,798 --> 00:57:07,048
No!
518
00:57:37,246 --> 00:57:39,247
Achilles! Achilles!
519
00:57:44,503 --> 00:57:47,713
Back to the city! Back to the city!
520
00:58:03,105 --> 00:58:06,774
The sun god is a patron of Troy,
our enemy.
521
00:58:07,985 --> 00:58:09,694
Take whatever treasure you can find.
522
00:58:17,911 --> 00:58:19,579
With your permission, my lord.
523
00:58:24,585 --> 00:58:27,503
- Speak.
- Apollo sees everything.
524
00:58:27,671 --> 00:58:30,464
Perhaps it is not wise to offend him.
525
00:58:40,684 --> 00:58:42,226
Huh?
526
00:58:54,114 --> 00:58:55,531
Warn the men.
527
00:58:56,700 --> 00:58:58,326
Wait.
528
01:00:49,896 --> 01:00:54,066
You are very brave or very stupid
to come after me alone.
529
01:00:55,902 --> 01:00:57,570
You must be Hector.
530
01:01:05,787 --> 01:01:07,747
Do you know who I am?
531
01:01:10,751 --> 01:01:12,752
These priests weren't armed.
532
01:01:14,755 --> 01:01:19,133
Yes. There's no honor
in cutting old men's throats.
533
01:01:19,634 --> 01:01:23,054
Only children and fools fight for honor.
534
01:01:23,221 --> 01:01:25,056
I fight for my country.
535
01:01:26,933 --> 01:01:28,642
Fight me!
536
01:01:35,067 --> 01:01:37,610
Why kill you now, prince of Troy...
537
01:01:37,778 --> 01:01:39,737
...with no one here to see you fall?
538
01:01:52,459 --> 01:01:54,085
Why did you come here?
539
01:01:54,586 --> 01:01:57,129
They'll be talking about this war
for 1000 years.
540
01:01:58,256 --> 01:02:01,509
In 1000 years, the dust
from our bones will be gone.
541
01:02:01,802 --> 01:02:05,054
Yes, prince. But our names will remain.
542
01:02:15,690 --> 01:02:19,693
Go home, prince. Drink some wine,
make love to your wife.
543
01:02:20,153 --> 01:02:21,904
Tomorrow, we'll have our war.
544
01:02:25,200 --> 01:02:27,576
You speak of war as if it's a game.
545
01:02:27,744 --> 01:02:31,539
How many wives wait at Troy's gates
for husbands they'll never see again?
546
01:02:31,998 --> 01:02:36,794
Your brother can comfort them. I hear
he's good at charming other men's wives.
547
01:02:41,633 --> 01:02:43,134
Psst.
548
01:02:51,852 --> 01:02:53,519
My lord, you let him go?
